However, I fell upon this amazing commentary that covers all the aspects that go with the subject. This is truly a well thought out piece here, I strongly encourage you read it all: http://frostcave.blogspot.com/2011/10/tea-party-vs-occupy-wall-street-guest.html

  1. She is very well spoken, one who would represent our state well in government.

My favorite part of her message was: "For once I would like someone to admit that being rich or poor has very little to do with your income and almost everything to do with your attitude. Those who always look at having more, more, more and never practice self-restraint will always feel like they are poor, no matter how high their income."

    Thanks for sharing. ...j

  2. Sometimes it feels like we are living in a historical time warp. The Wall Street protesters remind me of the radical anti-Viet Nam War protesters of the late 60s and early 70s. During that time, there were many people who had strong feelings about the war but college students and drug-involved bums, who refused to pursue noble work, laid around as a way to give themselves unity in their repugnant behaviors. They tried to imitate the peaceful marches of ML King. The anti-war protests turned into violence and disruptive actions that did not result in anything worthwhile.

Whether you agree with ML King or not, you must admit that his protests were peaceful. He had imitators who (at that time) caused riots and disruption. A peaceful rally (such as the ones held by the Tea Partiers) makes a statement about policy-driven agendas. The Wall Street protesters seem to be bent on raising a little Cain and demanding entitlements.

We are in a screwed up world and until we get a leader who will inspire positive actions from the citizenry then it is only going to get worse. Our current leader does not inspire anyone to get up and do some good for themselves nor their fellow man. He only enables the thought process that people should get something for nothing. That mentality is not only harmful it is sinful.
